Abstrak:
This study titled: “The Act of Comforting in the Glorious Qur’an, Thematic Study” came to reveal a distinguished objective among the objectives of the Sharī’ah, which is comforting people (Jabr al-Khāṭir). This was done through an analytical study of certain Qur’anic verses with diverse topics under a unified method and approach, in order to delineate this objective and its aesthetic dimensions under the Islamic law. This culminated in reaching some findings among which the most significant include: The existence of interdependence between the Sharī’ah rulings and the objectives that protect human life generally and that of a Muslim in particular, and differentiating between this objective and the objective of pacifying (Tasliyah) the Prophet –peace and blessing upon him- and those who follow his path.
