Abstract
The correct understanding of hadith of the Prophet is considered as primary step prior to the practice on the objective of the Sharia. One of the rules that ensure the correct understanding of the hadith is to pay attention to the metaphorical understanding. But exaggeration in adherence to metaphoric commitment may lead into misconception at understanding of the text of the hadith. At present they are a lot misleading fatwas issued by certain circle. This mainly due to strict adherence metaphoric understanding on textual hadith of the Prophet. This research aims at analyzing effects of exaggeration in adhering to the metaphor. The research is conducted on the basis of analytical and critical method. It also analyzes interpretations of some contemporary scholars and criticizing them scientifically. This study discovers the negative effects of strict adherence toward metaphoric in understanding hadiths which contradicts infallibility which are against hadith mutawatir as well as opposing views of salafi scholars ingivinginterpretation toward the Quranic verses.
